DYEING COSTS
The cost of dyeing depends upon which range you choose your shoes from, for example:
-
Rainbow Club offers a discount for multiples - the 3rd & subsequent items are dyed FREE when all dyed to the same colour at the same time;
-
All other ranges are dyed at a cost of £25.00 per item.
-
The FREE dyeing does not apply if your shoes are chosen from several different ranges,as they will be sent to another recommended dyeing company where these discount as are not offered.
-
If you require to try the shoes for size before dyeing, there will be an additional delivery charge once dyed.
All you need to do is add to your basket, the chosen shoes you wish to be dyed, and choose 'dyeing service' from the options. You then need to print and complete the Dyeing Order Form, attach a swatch of fabric for colour matching and post it to us.
Please ensure that you have purchased your correct shoe size as once dyed, they are not returnable.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Swatch for colour matching
Please ensure that the fabric swatch that you send is made up of a single tone colour as two-tone fabrics cannot be matched. If you do not have any spare fabric to send or your fabric is two-tone, then the swatch can be another fabric of the overall colour required - or even a reel of cotton, ball of wool, or even a piece of ribbon.
Shoe Base Colour
For the perfect match, it is recommended that you purchase off-white, winter white or ivory satin shoes as they will give the best result. It is not adviseable to dye white satin shoes as there is a blue hue which can affect the final colour. For example if you wish to dye white satin shoes gold, the result will have a greenish hue to them (gold and blue make green)!
Dyed shoes are not water resistant
The dyes used are water soluble so, if your dyed items are exposed to water (even perspiration), damp weather or heavy rain, the dye will bleed or stain.
Your dyeable bridal shoes should be protected with a water repellent spray. This will not render them waterproof but will prevent staining. If you choose to opt for this treatment, the shoes cannot be re-dyed at a later date.
Natural or artifical lighting
The appearance of colour changes in different light settings. The presence of ultra-violet light in natural light cannot be avoided. Shoes and other accessories dyed beige, peach and taupe for example will take on a pinkish hue outside. In fact the colour will even appear different between shaded and direct sun light.
Colour matching
Due to the textural differences between dyeable bridal shoes and accessories, and the dress or outfit being matched, the items will never be an exact match. Please be assured that the dyeing service will achieve the best match possible.
